managing a fair redundancy procedure

17/9/2020

As organisations now face the very real prospect of losing the support of the Job Retention Scheme, it is crucial you start to plan ahead. Whilst redundancies may seem like an obvious solution to saving costs, you should consider if taking such an action is the only option. There are other options available such as lay-off, allowing staff to work flexible hours, reducing contracted hours, putting a recruitment freeze in place etc.

If you are considering redundancies - have you explored what the alternatives are?  Have you tried various models and costed them for both the short and long term?

If, after following a reasoned business analysis, you have concluded it is the only course of action, we can help.

We can help ensure you follow a fair redundancy procedure.  We can also help you support your employees by assisting with coaching in job search, C.V. and cover letter writing, and job interview skills.

Please don’t hesitate to give us a call for advice and guidance.  We can help.
